My Very First Trip to the Dentist After 30 Years

In thirty years of my existence, I had never been to a dentist before. So when it was finally time to get a wisdom tooth extracted, I was dreading the moment. I searched for orthodontist euston in Google, and was somewhat calmed down when I read that dentistry in 2011 is really quite sophisticated and uses a lot of technology - I translated that to mean "we're working as hard as ever on pain manangement!".
Sure, I had read the horror stories, and encountered many jokes about dentists, their chairs, their gizmos and the laughing gas! I had tried to put of the visit for as long as possible, but finally decided to go. The waiting room was colorful, clearly designed for the kids. There were coloring books and few magazines for people my age. It took me fifteen minutes before I was ushered in. I had expected a stern old woman, but there was a cute thirty-something there. First surprise. She sat me on her chair, examined me for about fifteen minutes with some sort of scalpel with a mirror. Then it was time. She gave me some sort of injection in the gums, pulled out her pincers, and before I knew it, yanked out the offending tooth. Not so bad! I soon learned that what hurt the most was the hole in my pocket after the visit!
