Health and fitness do go hand in hand. Some people think that it seems that athletes are always getting injuries and so it is not worth getting fit. However, these are people who spend all of their time working their bodies to the maximum and so they do suffer from wear and tear. However, if you do things sensibly, you can still get fit without having an injury.
The key is to work your body hard, but not overdo it. You need to know how to exercise properly. If you do exercises incorrectly, then you will injure yourself. Therefore, you need to get instruction from a qualified professional.
If you go to something like a fitness boot camp or get a personal trainer, then they will be able to let you know exactly what to do. They will tell you have to do each exercise so that you get the best out of it for your body, but you do not overdo and cause yourself strain or stress. It can be really worthwhile doing this.
They will also encourage you to work yourself really hard, probably harder than you have ever done so before. This means that you will get a great release of hormones in the body which will make you feel really good. Getting these makes you want to exercise again and again and so even if you are exercising by yourself, you need to push yourself hard so it feel great and you want to keep doing it.
It is great to do something that you want to keep going with. This will mean that you keep regularly getting exercise, so you will keep fit and therefore stay as healthy as you can. You will really see and feel the difference in a short space of time.
